The 2008 New Leash on Life Dog Walk Fundraiser

The 2008 "New Leash on Life" Dog Walk Fundraiser successfully raised over $11,000.00 for the homeless and abandoned pets in Harrison County. Over 80 dog lovers came out to the Bridgeport City Park to strut their mutt.

Once again, Terry Lamm of Mt. Clare was the top money maker, raising nearly $2,500.00 on her own through business sponsors.

Live entertainment was provided by Stranger on the Rocks and participants competed in various dog contests to include the owner/dog look alike and best dressed contests.

Local students in grades K through 5, participated in coloring contests and were awarded ribbons for their artwork in several categories. And many locals brought their pure bred dogs to showcase in our "Meet the Breed" program.

Amazingly, with over 120 canines in attendance, all were on their best behavior.
