THE APPLICATION WILL NOT WORK ON MOBILE.
YOU NEED A COMPUTER WITH WORD OR PDF.
There is NOT a form for each animal. On the application is a line for the animal's name you are interested in!
Download, fill out and fax to 304-592-2391 or email to [email protected]. You can also drop off at the shelter and if after hours place into the little library right outside our front door.
It may take a few days to process the application.
You may also stop out to the shelter- but we cannot guarantee we can process your application that day.
We adopt out close to 800 animals a year!
We never make money on adoptions as the cost goes directly towards the care while the animals are here - including vetting of vaccinations, wormer, spay/neuter here in our facility by Mountain State Veterinary Services, microchipping, 4DX (Lyme & Heartworm) as well as any needs that come up including illness, injuries, etc.
We also offer a 5 day foster trial from animals adopted from the Humane Society before deciding (available for animals over 6 months old). We CANNOT do foster trials on animals adopted straight from Animal Control.

event an animal needs to be returned that you will be required to contact us to be placed on the Awaiting
Return List. We are not able to determine a time that you can return the animal however you will be placed
on the list in the order that the requests are received. You will be contacted as soon as space is available.
We may be able to assist you with the issue at hand i.e., Supply Crate, cross post your animal on FB and make
Recommendations until a space is available.
